Working with a development company, we were contracted to complete roofing and carpentry works within a large construction project. The site had previously been the headquarters for Bovis Homes and was in the process of being converted into a set of residential properties.

Process
We worked closely with the client’s project manager and site management team, liaising with them throughout the project to provide advice, assistance, and to consult on any design changes that may affect our work. All the roofing and associated carpentry work was then carried out under contract according to the specification provided by the client.
Requirements
As this project took place within a conservation area, the planning process and initial consultation needed to ensure that all the appropriate guidelines were outlined in the specification so that we could implement them. Work on this project was then affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, requiring social distancing whilst on site but also producing a number of logistical challenges regarding supplies and manufacturing issues. By employing thorough planning and coordination principles we were able to overcome these issues, ensuring the project was managed effectively and could progress smoothly.
